We believe a great knife is the most important tool in any kitchen, and that it should be something you treasure for life.

Kanzo Kitchen was founded by a small team of people who genuinely like to cook. Food is our shared language - when we get together, it's always over a meal. Good restaurants, a dinner that runs longer than planned.

A few of us started cooking more seriously at home and hit the same wall: the knives we had just weren't keeping up. Upgrading felt like a choice between cheap sets that would be the same story in six months, or spending a fortune on a brand name.

We found Damascus, did the research, tested a few blades, and landed on one we actually wanted to use every day. So we made it available. That's Kanzo.

Our Steel Explained

Our knives are crafted from 67-layer Damascus steel, a material prized for its strength, precision, and timeless beauty.

Each blade is created by layering multiple sheets of steel around a high-performance core, then forging them together to form the distinctive flowing Damascus pattern. This traditional technique not only produces a striking appearance, but also enhances the blade’s overall performance and resilience.

At the centre of the blade lies a high-carbon stainless steel cutting core, engineered to deliver exceptional sharpness and edge retention. The surrounding Damascus layers add durability and stability, protecting the core while maintaining balance and control during use.

This carefully engineered construction allows the knife to:
