Returns & Refund Policy — Kanzo Kitchen

Buying a knife you've never held is a matter of trust. That's why we give you 100 days to decide.
We want you to feel confident when shopping with Kanzo Kitchen. This policy explains your rights and how returns and refunds work.
1. 100-Day Return Window
You have 100 days from the date you receive your order to request a return.
This includes:

Your statutory 14-day right to cancel under UK consumer law

An additional 86 days as a goodwill extension

2. Your Legal Right to Cancel (First 14 Days)
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, for any reason.
To exercise this right:

Notify us within 14 days of delivery.

Return the goods within 14 days of notifying us.
You are responsible for the cost of return postage.
Items should be returned in a resaleable condition. You may inspect the product as you would in a physical shop, but we may reduce your refund if the value of the item has been diminished by excessive handling.
3. Our 100-Day Return Policy (Goodwill Extension)
In addition to your legal rights, we offer a total 100-day return window.
To qualify under this goodwill policy:

In resalable condition

With proof of purchase
Return postage costs remain the responsibility of the customer.
4. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order upon delivery.
If your item is:

Faulty

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you are entitled to:

A full refund within 30 days for faulty goods

A repair or replacement if appropriate

A partial refund in certain circumstances after 30 days
Our goodwill extension for faulty goods: Beyond the statutory 30-day window, our 100-day goodwill policy also applies to faulty items. If a fault becomes apparent after 30 days but within 100 days of purchase, please contact us and we will work to resolve the issue to your satisfaction.
If the item is confirmed faulty or incorrect, we will cover return shipping costs.
5. Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned:

Personalised or engraved products

Custom-made items

Gift cards
If personalisation is added to a product, your statutory cancellation rights do not apply once production has begun.
6. Sale Items
Sale items can be returned within:

14 days under your statutory cancellation rights

100 days under our goodwill policy (if unused and in resalable condition)
7. Exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges.
To exchange an item:

Return the original item.

Place a new order once your return is processed.
8. Refunds
Once we receive your returned item, we will inspect it and notify you of the outcome.
If approved:

Refunds will be issued to your original payment method

Within 14 days of receiving the returned goods (or receiving proof of return)
Please note that banks or card providers may take additional time to process the refund.
Returning your item: We strongly recommend using a tracked postal service when returning goods. Kanzo Kitchen cannot be held responsible for returns that are lost or delayed in transit. Please retain your proof of postage until your refund has been confirmed.
9. Important Notes on Knives (Bladed Articles)
In accordance with the Offensive Weapons Act 2019, the sale of knives is restricted to persons aged 18 and over. By placing an order with Kanzo Kitchen, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.Due to the nature of kitchen knives:

Products must be securely packaged for return

We cannot accept liability for injuries caused by improper handling during return shipping
This does not affect your statutory rights.
