For knives that are already sharp — and deserve to stay that way.

The Kanzo XXL Whetstone with Wooden Base is a professional-grade finishing stone for cooks who take their blades seriously. The 3000/8000 grit combination is designed not to reshape an edge from scratch, but to refine and perfect one — delivering the kind of razor-sharp, mirror-polished finish that turns a good knife into an exceptional one. Combined with a solid wooden base, a 15° sharpening guide, and a free leather strop, this is the complete finishing kit for luxury and Damascus steel knives.

If you own a knife worth owning, it deserves to be sharpened properly. The Kanzo XXL Whetstone delivers a professional finishing system — larger stone, finer grits, a solid wooden base, and a free strop — for the cook who refuses to compromise on performance.

FAQs

Two ways, both included in the box. High-strength adhesive strips give you a drill-free mount — handy for anyone who'd rather not put holes in the wall. If you prefer a permanent fix, screws and wall anchors are supplied too. Pick whichever suits your space.

Yes — adhesive strips, screws and wall anchors all come in the box. Nothing extra to buy.

Not unless you want one. The adhesive strips let you mount the holder with no drilling at all. If you'd rather use the screw fix, any standard household drill will do the job.

The strip measures 40 cm — enough for a typical 5-knife set. Santoku and chef's knives take up more room than utility or paring knives, so plan accordingly if you're storing a larger collection.

No. The magnets are designed for damage-free storage — they hold the blade firmly without affecting the steel or its edge. Magnetic storage is widely regarded as the best method for edge preservation: your blade never contacts wood slots, other metal, or a cluttered drawer.

Wipe with a barely-damp cloth — never soak it, and never put it in the dishwasher. Both the acacia and walnut are untreated and finished only with natural materials, so a light coat of food-safe mineral oil every few months keeps the grain rich and protects the wood from everyday kitchen splashes. The walnut in particular deepens in tone over time, so a regular oiling helps preserve the colour as it ages.

Yes — kitchen shears, paring tools, and other small steel utensils all hold securely on the strip. Same advice as with knives: place them on gently rather than slamming, and the wood will stay pristine for years.
